Festival at silver dollar city

Silver Dollar City is one of the most popular amusement parks, not only in Branson, Missouri, but all over the country. What set it apart from other parks are not only its tourist attractions and exciting rides, but the six seasonal festivals that it holds each year.

In the Spring, it holds a World-Fest featuring international performers from all over the globe. Some of these shows feature percussionists from Ghana, a Banjo player form New Zealand, an academic band from Russia, and a steel drum band from Trinidad.

Aside from the shows, the World-Fest also features food from different countries. You will not only get to taste them, you may also get a chance to prepare and cook these dishes and delicacies.

Another festival that is held during the spring is the Bluegrass and BBQ Festival. You will get a chance to view talented Bluegrass acts, from the most talented to the up-and-coming. They also hold contests, like the Youth in Bluegrass Competition, and the Single Mic Championship that is held every year.

Children are the stars of the National Kids Fest during the summer. This festival features child-friendly rides and activities, not only for the older kids, but for the smaller ones as well. There are also magic, dance, and music shows that your kids will surely enjoy. Also, there is an interactive barn where kids can have fun and learn at the same time.

At the beginning of the fall season, the Southern Gospel Picnic is held. This is a reflection of Branson’s affinity for gospel music, which it has been enjoying for a long time in churches and county fairs. During this festival, the top Gospel performers serenade their audience with their sweet and soulful voices. It also gives guests a chance to experience delicious Southern food at its finest.

Fall is also the time for the National Harvest Festival. They celebrate fine Missouri craftsmanship with more than 500 guest artisans and musicians. Visitors will also get to experience the time-honored traditions that have been practiced by American craftsmen all throughout history.

Finally, in the winter, visitors are able to experience An Old Time Christmas. There is holiday magic for the family as they walk amidst the beautiful lights around the area. They can also watch a light show called Christmas on Main Street. There is even a musical Christmas tree that is five stories tall. They also hold a holiday light parade. One of the most remarkable of all these is the grand production of A Dickens’ Christmas Carol.
