For someone like me, who is a complete foodie and loves to explore places known for serving excellent delicacies, an invitation to visit Branson, Missouri was nothing less than a dream offer. This music mecca and a fairly popular destination for vacationers, is also known for its excellent country and buffet style dining.

Vacationers like me, who visit this exciting city for the very first time, are overwhelmed by the never ending stream of restaurants that line the city streets. From exclusive Italian to Asian style restaurants serving oriental dishes, the city definitely has a knack to serve one and all. During my short stay in the city, I was glad to discover some of the star restaurants like, Baldknobbers Country Restaurant, Rockey’s Italian Restaurant, Plantation Restaurant, which make this city an all time favorite with food lovers across the world.

If you enjoy dining in the comfort of a home town cafe, then I would suggest you visit the Shack Cafe on Commercial Street, downtown, one of the oldest restaurant of the city. While the familiar ambiance of the cafe makes you nostalgic, don’t forget to have a taste of raisin cream pie for dessert, a special attraction of the cafe. However, if you have a yearning for oriental food, then you may like to visit the Tran’s Chinese Buffet on 76 Country Boulevard or the Great Wall, just next door.

Besides having an exclusive line of restaurants with a unique flair, Branson also houses numerous romantic restaurants like, the Buckingham’s Restaurant or the Candlestick Inn, where you can enjoy a delightful romantic dinner date and some quality time with your beloved.

While the Buckingham’s Restaurant with a safari themed atmosphere, serves Classic American cuisines like, seafood and house aged steaks, the Candlestick Inn overlooking the beautiful Lake Taneycomo, has some ambrosial gourmet entries like, Apricot Glaze and Smoked Quail. With tantalizing food, wine and soft music playing mischievously with the dim lights, the whole experience of dining in these restaurants is enchanting.

Although I had very much wanted to explore each and every restaurant of Branson, I am still glad that I could at least enjoy the luxury of dining in some of the best branson-hotels and restaurants.
